1957

In 1957 Mr. Michel Ahad established an electrical supplies store in Sabaa Banat Street, Alexandria. His objective at the time was to distribute electrical supplies to contractors, industrial factories, and retail sale.

1972

The opening of the Egyptian market during President Sadat’s first term in 1972, was a ceased opportunity by Mr. Michel Ahad as he began to import fully equipped panel boards, motors, cables, and enameled copper wires.

1974

Due to the increase of development in Egypt’s infrastructure such as hotels, office buildings and residential areas, Mr. Michel Ahad began to venture into electrical wiring devices more than industrial supplies as he strongly believed that this was the future in Egypt. He then thought to bring the top Italian company in wiring devices, Bticino. He successfully negotiated a contract to be the sole distributor in Egypt. He proceeded by launching the Magic Series, for the first time in Egypt which received great success. Until now the Magic wiring devices and fuse switches holds a great share of the market.

1984

President Mubarak’s urge for local production lead Mr. Michel Ahad a proud patriot himself to build a factory in Egypt to locally produce Bticino wiring devices.
